In the corporate volunteering sector, our focus lies on creating equal opportunities in career development. We focus on vocational support for disadvantaged youth and young adults who are looking to enter employment.

In this step, we distinguish between two target groups: Our modules on the topics of learning motivation, learning organization and learning strategies are aimed at 14- to 16-year-olds - employees help them to successfully master everyday school life. Mentorships with 17- to 30-year-olds also cover this content, but in a more advanced version and in relation to their training or studies. In addition, there are modules on the topics of identifying personal strengths, study orientation, study application and online learning.

Job orientation

Together with their mentor, mentees analyze their individual strengths, discuss previous work experience, identify possible job profiles and frame suitable plans for their professional future. In this way, mentors support their mentees in critical self-reflection and in laying important professional foundations.

application training

How do you write a really good CV? What should you pay attention to in your cover letter? How do you master the job interview? And how has digitalization changed the application process? Using real-life exercises, mentors help their mentees to define professional goals, become more self-confident and convince companies of their worth.

job preparation

Mentors often already have many years of professional experience and are therefore ideal to prepare mentees for entering a career. The focus here lies on verbal and non-verbal communication, successful teamwork and setting the mentees’ professional goals using the SMART method. These learnings are adjusted to the mentees’ individual situation and the starting date which makes stepping into employment easier.
